Welcome to our classroom page! The 3rd - 4th grade classroom is a busy place!

While we focus on learning many new things, getting to know Jesus better is the most important part of what happens in our class. Our theme is "Walking With Jesus." We all spend daily Time Alone with God (TAG time), developing a real and personal friendship with Jesus. We also get to have worship together every morning and some of these devotional times will be led by our own students. Wednesday mornings are special. We get together with the rest of the school at our weekly chapel where we enjoy lots of singing and interesting talks and stories. We also serve our community through park clean-up, nursing home visits, card ministry, and other sharing activities.

While in this classroom we begin using
textbooks, learn how to study for and take tests, and how to write neatly in print and in cursive. Everyone participates in exciting science labs and group projects. Beginners learn music notes and how to play the recorder while advanced musicians improve their performance skills. Group games and physical fitness activities help us run faster, jump farther, and grow stronger. Field trips take us to interesting places and new experiences! We develop our computer and keyboarding skills, learn to write and make Power Point presentations. We master subtraction and multiplications facts and begin to understand the language of mathematics. We have lots of fun learning all these new things!

The entire school day is Christ-centered. We practice respecting ourselves and others since every component of the school experience is based on a loving relationship with Jesus.

5 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. 6 These
commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. 7 Impress them on your children. Talk
about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you
get up. 8 Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. 9 Write them on the
doorframes of your houses and on  your gates.
                                                                                                                                   Deuteronomy 6:5-9

If you join our classroom family, you will learn a lot, be loved, and make life-long friendships. I pray that Jesus will touch your heart and He will be your best friend.
